Ao nang Sunset Hotel is located right in the middle of Ao nang beach where you can find food or shopping only a few steps away. Ao Nang Sunset hotel is only a mere five minutes stroll to the Ao Nang Beach.
Ao Nang Sunset hotel plus points: its convenient location...walking distance to the beach, shops, restaurants and 7-11 convenience stores...in addition, the traditional Thai massage service situated within the hotel is really good.

Do not expect too much from this no frills budget hotel. As Ao Nang Sunset Hotel facilities is just a low cost hotel, you can't expect too much. But Ao Nang Sunset Hotel has a small swimming pool and each room with a private balcony.
Ao Nang Sunset Hotel has a small but well functional pool with 8 sunloungers. Forget about getting a tan if you want to lie on the sunloungers - they're blocked by the hotel building and are always in the shade.
Ao Nang Sunset Hotel has lovely clean rooms with good air con. Great shower in bathroom however those staying on upper floor, the bathroom has no hot water supply as the water pressure is weak and shower dribbles out.
However it does not bother me because I have spent enough time on beautiful beaches in Krabi and I enjoyed it so much. forget about swimming in the pool :)
One of the minor grouse is that Internet access is not free even for hotel guests.
Ao Nang Sunset Hotel has a restaurant called Nanas (named after the owner of the hotel). It served wonderful Thai and International food including fresh seafood and is open to all. Every night it is very busy, so it was obviously very popular with great value for money.

The set up is simple and sufficient nice, clean, comfortable basic room. Some of the room sizes are quite big.
If you are unlucky, you may get some of the rooms that are quite mouldy and has humidity smell. Maybe due to high usage and lack of airing, mould on the ceiling can be seen and very heavy smell in the room.

You can try to opt for pool facing view or you can request for a seaview room. Only rooms with separate beds have seaview from the balcony.
Be aware that a triple bed room is just a 2 bed room with an extra bed slotted in.

The ladies at the reception were friendly and helpful however the front desk personnel did not always understand plain English.

- to go to Airport Bus stop, you just need to take 5 min walk to the front of Krabi Resort

Overall, Ao Nang Sunset hotel is convenient, an absolute bargain to stay for a budget holiday. if you don't intend to spend a lot of time in the room but going to visit the beautiful Krabi beaches. Aonang Sunset hotel is definitely best value for money.
If you're a budget traveller who's not expecting too much comfort and luxuries.
